The Legion of St. Michael is in the process of collecting stories from First Responders about their experiences with severe workplace stress and PTSD.  We intend to identify stories that we can write and publish in a book to increase the understanding of the public in relation to the silent struggles of our First Responders.  We also hope to raise money through books sales in order to fund projects and research in relation to PTSD in our Police, Fire Fighters, EMS Providers, and Emergency Dispatchers.

If you are interested in contributing your story, please email Dr. Mark Escott at mea.escott@gmail.com with a description of your call and the struggles you have faced.  If selected, we will organize a phone or in-person interview to obtain further details.  It is critical that we share our stories so that our brothers and sisters understand that they are not alone. Please share your story so that we can help prevent tragedies associated with workplace stress and PTSD.

Kind Regards,
Mark E. Escott, MD, MPH, FACEP
